Fort Wayne Sister Cities International celebrates 45 years of partnership with Takaoka, Japan

On Tuesday, October 10, a delegation from Takaoka, Japan toured Purdue Fort Wayne University’s visual arts center. Accompanying them was Takaoka mayor, Yuki Kakuda. Kakuda says these visits are vital in strengthening international bonds between the two cities.

Leading the tour was PFW’s Dean of the College of the Performing and Visual Arts John O’Connell. The dean says he wanted to show the global travelers some of the artistic parts of Fort Wayne’s culture.
