Candace Inghram named a director of development

FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Candace Inghram has joined the Office of Development and Alumni Relations at Purdue University Fort Wayne in the position of director of development for the College of Engineering, Technology, and Computer Science and the Doermer School of Business. Most recently, she served in a similar capacity for the Ball State University Foundation since January 2018.

Inghram is a communication specialist with a comprehensive background in education, marketing, social media, events, and athletics. She is well versed on matching philanthropic interests with university priorities. A specific point of emphasis for her at Purdue Fort Wayne will be assisting with the procurement of major gifts for ETCS and the school of business.

Prior to her time at Ball State, Inghram gained valuable experience working in business development for the law firm Faegre Baker Daniels, and for five years served as an educator in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She also worked in public and media relations for several collegiate and professional sports teams.

Inghram earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and teaching from the University of Alabama, where she also earned a bachelor’s in sports communication. To further her career, she achieved a master’s in public relations from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
