From college transition advice to using education benefits and planning for your career, we’re here to support our student veterans throughout their time at Purdue Fort Wayne.

Educational Benefits

Benefits that you’ve earned.

You can use your military-related education benefits, including the GI Bill® and Tuition Assistance, when you become a Mastodon. We encourage you to contact our office if you have questions about how these benefits apply to your specific situation.

If you are using any VA education benefits, you will need do the following:

  • Make sure that our office has a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility (COE)
  • Register for classes
  • Request certification for each semester you plan to use benefits
  • Obtain a confirmation email from the Office of Military Student Services about your certification for the semester

Discover employment opportunities.

Work-study Student Worker
Work with the Office of Military Student Services to aid other military students in their academic careers. As a work-study student worker, you’ll be trained to understand various military-affiliated benefits, as well as other academic financial benefits that are offered through federal and state programs to assist with certifying payments for military-affiliated students.  

Eligible students must meet the following criteria:

  • Have completed at least one semester Purdue Fort Wayne
  • Be in good academic standing
  • Be enrolled at least three-fourth time in a college degree
  • Have received honorable discharge (if discharged from the military)
  • Have basic computer knowledge and skills, including Microsoft Office
