Community Outreach

Working together for a better region.

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry’s Community Advisory Board is an assembly of departmental alumni, friends, and community leaders and partners who provide guidance and support for the faculty of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry in order to enhance the department’s ability to fulfill its missions and improve visibility in the local community and in the region.

Goals

  • Provide insight into departmental programs and curricula
  • Create or enhance outreach programs between the department and the local community
  • Provide information on co-op opportunities
  • Provide advice to Purdue Fort Wayne chemistry and biochemistry graduates
  • Provide information about departmental assessment to stakeholders
  • Provide opportunities for the department to assist the organizations represented by members of the advisory board
  • Provide advice for departmental fundraising efforts
