Disability Access Center (DAC)

The Disability Access Center is committed to promoting and ensuring equal access and opportunity for students with disabilities at Purdue Fort Wayne. First Year Advising Center

You’ll find that our programs and initiatives create a challenging and supportive environment, enabling a successful transition to the university and providing a solid foundation for continued academic success and timely progress toward graduation. Your success is our mission. The First Year Advising Center is here to help your college journey go smoothly, connecting you to resources that can help make each semester your best, specifically, we are responsible for:

  • The Pathway Program for students who are undecided on their major or are looking for help with changing their major

Helmke Library empowers students, faculty, and staff by providing equitable access to knowledge and expertise, creating diverse and inclusive learning environments, and sustaining and supporting the Purdue University Fort Wayne experience.   The Library provides:

  • Over a million digital and print resources
  • Laptops for 5-day loan

The Office of Student Conduct and Care is a critical resource for students, faculty, and staff, providing proactive and reactive education and outreach, assisting in conflict resolution, and advancing the holistic development and well-being of students. Student Government Association (SGA)

Being invested in your campus. Advocating for the rights of and interests of your fellow students. Making a difference in your college community. This is what the Student Government Association is all about. As a member, you will do all these things and more, including helping make college life successful, fun, and worthwhile.

Ways to be involved:

TRIO Student Support Services

TRIO SSS is a dedicated space for first-generation college students to thrive! The program offers a variety of supports for first-generation students to aid in college retention and completion.

Tutoring

Take advantage of the free services our tutoring centers offer to all Purdue University Fort Wayne students.

Our tutors are students who work to identify and address your academic needs and concerns, and recommend additional campus resources to meet those needs.

We offer a variety of tutoring services and locations. You may access unlimited walk-in tutoring in Math, Statistics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Tutoring by appointment is available in many subjects; see TutorTrac to find available tutors.

Writing Center

The Writing Center is a student-centered resource that helps with writing and public speaking assignments for PFW Campus classes and academic-related events (this includes assistance for IUFW students!). Our consultants meet with you virtually and in-person to help you with compositional questions and concerns, like developing and supporting your thesis, understanding the rhetorical situation, organizing ideas, citing sources, improving clarity, incorporating peer and instructor comments, and more. Think of us like coaches, working with you and offering you tools to succeed!
