Mike Downs Center for Indiana Politics
Serving the campus and our community.
Mike Downs served the university and Fort Wayne community for 34 years before he passed away, in 2001. As a way to honor his legacy in teaching and area politics, the Mike Downs Center for Indiana Politics was established. Open to scholars, students, politicians, and everyday citizens seeking to understand local politics and government, the center was the first of its kind, putting Mike on the cutting edge yet again (something he was regularly commended for).
