Purdue Fort Wayne plans FAFSA help sessions

The phones at Purdue University Fort Wayne’s financial aid office have been ringing following the federal government’s soft launch of the 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

Callers’ questions were mostly about the FAFSA website being down, said Ron Herrell, director of financial aid.

Filing the FAFSA helps determine a student’s eligibility for state and federal financial aid. The form opened annually in October in recent years, but the U.S. Department of Education delayed the 2024-25 FAFSA’s release until last weekend.
