Are you a Summit Scholar?

 

Summit Scholars are highly accomplished. They are tomorrow’s composers, engineers, philanthropists, business leaders, attorneys, politicians, and educators. If that’s you, then you’re an exceptional Purdue Fort Wayne freshman applicant and are invited to compete for the university’s most prestigious full-ride awards: the Chapman and Doermer Distinguished Scholarships. These competitive merit-based scholarships offer tuition and class fee credit for a maximum of 18 credit hours, on-campus housing, textbooks, and a stipend for food each eligible fall and spring semester per aid year.

Chapman Scholars

The Chapman Scholars Program is one of the premier competitive, merit-based scholarships in Indiana. It is recognized for combining civic-engagement opportunities with outstanding scholarship options.

The Doermer Distinguished Scholars Program is a scholarship program that provides mentors, networking and travel opportunities, and internships for business and hospitality and tourism management majors.

Competition

For driven, successful students.

The 2025 Virtual Summit Scholars Competition will occur on Saturday, February 22, 2025. It will entail a virtual interview and opportunities to check out videos from university leadership, faculty, and students, including the current four classes of Chapman Scholars. This competition will also allow you and your parents or family to learn about Purdue Fort Wayne campus and Mastodon life.

If invited to participate, you will compete for the Chapman Scholarship. Business and hospitality tourism and management majors may also be eligible for the Doermer Distinguished Scholarship.

Summit City Journal

Summit City Journal is a publication opportunity open to undergraduate and graduate students at Purdue University Fort Wayne and Indiana University Fort Wayne. The goal of this journal is to showcase student research and creative endeavors of all disciplines, published in an online format.
