Exclusive Rights for Course Material
Follett has the exclusive right, free from any competitor endorsed, licensed or otherwise approved or supported by Purdue Fort Wayne (whether on campus, by catalog or through electronic commerce) to buy, sell and distribute textbooks, course adopted software, and textbook buybacks. Follett is Purdue Fort Wayne's exclusive online textbook retailer.
Other than IncludEd courses, students have the right to find alternate options for the textbook and course materials, but Purdue Fort Wayne should not direct students to other sources.
Exemptions to these Exclusive Rights:
Occasional sales by student groups or student government organizations which do not materially impact store sales are an exception.
Information supplied to any competitor in compliance with state or federal statues or mandates.
Food and Beverages On Campus
If you are planning on purchasing food or beverages for a university function, here are the exclusive rights of our campus food and beverage vendors that need to be followed.
Pepsi
Pepsi has the exclusive rights to provide carbonated soft drinks, bottled or packaged waters, bottled or packaged fruit drinks, bottled or packaged fruit juices, bottled or packaged ready-to-drink teas and coffees, sports or isotonic drinks whenever these beverages are sold, distributed, dispensed or sampled on Purdue Fort Wayne grounds. If university funds are used to purchase the beverages they need to be Pepsi products. If a sponsor wants to donate beverages for an Purdue Fort Wayne event, they need to be Pepsi products.
Exceptions: Pepsi has granted Purdue Fort Wayne the right to have some competitive products sold at Follett's Mastodon Mart in the second floor of Walb. Also store brand bottled or packaged water i.e. label reads Kroger, Walmart, Sam's Club, purchased by Purdue Fort Wayne to distribute free of charge at meetings or events with groups of 250 or less is also permissible. However, Pepsi may be able to provide a good price on the water and it would be delivered. Contact the Purchasing Department for further information.
