Commencement is closer than you think. But before you slip on your cap and gown, there are a few things you need to take care of first. Apply for graduation by completing the application in goPFW. The application is necessary even if you do not plan to take part in commencement, as it tells us which semester you intend to complete your degree requirements. Submitting your graduation application will trigger the graduation audit process, ensure that you receive commencement information and that your name appears in the commencement program, and allow us to order your diploma.

Graduation Audit

Make sure that you’ve completed everything.

Your myBLUEprint degree audit is used to certify the completion of your degree requirements for graduation. Review your degree audit by logging in to your myBLUEprint in goPFW. If you have questions or concerns about your myBLUEprint, contact your academic advisor.

Certified Electronic Diplomas

A digital copy of your degree.

We now offer digital diplomas and certificates—certified electronic credentials known as a CeDiploma or CeCertificate. Having a digital version of your degree or diploma makes it easy to share with employers, friends, and family. You can have instant proof of your education with the CeCreditialTrust Validation Service. Get all your answers about your diploma and graduation.

Ready to take the final step? To be considered for graduation from a Purdue Fort Wayne program, you must submit an application for graduation. By submitting this application, you are formally requesting that your academic record be audited for graduation in the specified semester. If you do not apply for graduation, this audit will not be conducted and you will not have a degree awarded.

After your graduation has been approved, the process to finalize your diploma will begin. Your official diploma will list the university, your legal name (unless otherwise requested), the college or school you are graduating from, and your degree name.

Apply for graduation by completing the application for graduation. This application is necessary even if you do not plan to take part in commencement. Purdue Fort Wayne relies on the application for graduation to know the semester you intend to complete degree requirements. If you’re pursuing multiple degrees and/or certificates, you will need to complete an application for each program from which you intend to graduate. 

The application for graduation triggers the graduation-audit process, ensures that you receive commencement information, and allows the university to order your diploma.

Degrees are generally posted within 30 days of the close of the semester of graduation.

You may choose how you want your name to appear on your diploma when you submit your graduation application.

Diplomas will be mailed up to eight weeks after the semester ends. Diplomas are mailed to the address you provide in your graduation application. Incorrect addresses and late address changes could cause a delay in the receipt of the diploma.

Unclaimed diplomas are stored at the university for seven academic years. Please email [email protected] to inquire about obtaining your unclaimed diploma.

To have your unclaimed diploma released to another authorized person, please email [email protected] to inquire about your diploma. In the email, inform us of who will be picking up your unclaimed diploma.

Please fill out the Diploma Release Form. The authorized person can bring the completed form to the enrollment services desk in Kettler Hall. The authorized person will be required to show a photo ID and sign for the diploma, noting their relationship to you.

You may request a replacement diploma if your diploma has been lost, stolen, or damaged. You may also request a replacement diploma if you have had a legal change of name.
