Testing Services
What you need to know.
We provide testing services for institutions outside of Purdue Fort Wayne. Find out the cost, guidelines, and more.
There is a $40 fee per exam for this service. Payment must be received at the time the exam is taken. Payment may be made by check or credit card. We cannot accept cash or card payments in our office.
Appointments will be rescheduled if payment is not received by the scheduled appointment time.
We can administer only distance-education exams for university and college institutions.
To serve you more efficiently, and to maintain testing standards, the following process must be completed for Testing Services to proctor your test:
- Your professor/institution must contact Testing Services with the following information:
- Number of tests for the course
- Specific dates each test may be given
- Length of time allowed on each test
- Materials that may be used while taking the test (e.g., books, notes, calculator, ruler)
- Materials (if any) Testing Services needs to provide (e.g., computer-based tests)
- For computer-based tests, we will need all website and URL information that will need to be white-listed in our lab at least three business days prior to the date of the exam.
- Return postage. Exams needing to be mailed back must have postage paid envelopes.
- Contact Testing Services at 260-481-6600 to check the status of your request for testing.
- Once all the information has been submitted and the request has been approved, you may schedule your appointment for testing.
- Appointment times can fill up quickly, please plan accordingly.
- After receiving approval to have your exam proctored by Testing Services, send you test to the following address:

Fort Wayne, Indiana 46805 - Call Testing Services at 260-481-6600 at least 24 hours prior to your testing appointment to make sure the your test has been received.
- If you are taking a computer-based exam, you must contact Testing Services at least three business days before your appointment to verify that Testing Services has received all the required website and password information.
- Testing Services can administer correspondence exams only for university and college institutions.
- A photo ID is required in order to take all placement tests.
- Cell phones are not allowed at the testing stations. Please make the appropriate arrangements for storing your phone.
- You should arrive 15 minutes ahead of your scheduled appointment. If you arrive late, you will be asked to reschedule.
- Testing-room temperatures may vary; it’s advisable to bring a sweater or jacket.
- Children are not allowed in the testing facilities; please make childcare arrangements before your exam.
- If you require test accommodations based on a disability, contact the director of testing services at least seven business days before your scheduled test date; disability documentation may be required.
- Testing Services is unable to give placement or entrance exams for students who attend universities other than Purdue Fort Wayne.
- Call Testing Services at 260-481-6600 to schedule a testing appointment.
- Your appointment will be made only within the dates provided by the professor/institution.
- You must call Testing Services at least 24 hours prior to your testing appointment to make sure that your test has been received.
Testing Hours
Monday–Thursday: 8:30 a.m., 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.
Friday: 8:30 a.m., 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 1 p.m.
Appointment times and dates may be restricted during Purdue Fort Wayne’s scheduled final examinations. Please be sure to make the necessary arrangements with your college or institution in the event your required test date conflicts with our final-examination schedule.
