Myers-Briggs Type Indicator

Find out what type you are.

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) measures psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions. After you take the test, a career counselor will interpret your results. Please note that you must make an appointment with a career counselor before you can purchase the MBTI. The fee is $25 for students and $45 for community members.

Strong Interest Inventory

Searching for a passion?

The Strong Interest Inventory (SII) will help you make career decisions by identifying your likes and dislikes. It compares your choices, analyzes them, and then makes a general summary of possible career choices.

It can help you with a variety of career decisions, including the following:

  • Decide which career path to take
  • Reach more fulfillment in your job
  • Make a career move
  • Decide which educational programs and training are necessary
  • Work toward a wonderful retirement
  • Incorporate business with pleasure

The SII contains 317 items that determine levels of interest in occupational institutions, professional activities, hobbies, leisure activities, and diverse types of people. A printout of the results will be available.

The test is $25 for students and $45 for community members. Interested in both the SII and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator tests? We offer a bundled rate of $35 for students and $65 for community members.

Self-Directed Search

Explore your interests.

The Self-Directed Search (SDS) is an instrument designed to help organize information about your interests and abilities. After completing the inventory, you’ll be able to see how your interests and abilities connect to occupations and fields of study.

A career counselor can help determine whether the SDS is an appropriate resource for you. The SDS takes 45–60 minutes to complete. You must make an appointment with a career counselor before you can take the SDS. The results of this assessment will be made available during a follow-up appointment with the career counselor. The test is $5.
